A moisture analyser is a weighing balance with a built in heating chamber to dry a product and use the before and after weights to provide an accurate moisture reading. Suitable products include food products, grain, straw and hay, wood products, plastics & waste water. There are a large range of models to choose from, for example the Ohaus MB25 analysers are good value for money, easy to use and are suitable for products with an expected moisture content of 5% to 95% with an accuracy requirement of +/- 0.1% but for more demanding applications such as moisture determination in plastics or PCBs, we recommend the A&D MS70 moisture analyser with a 0.1mg resolution that can accurately measure the small weight changes in products with moisture levels of less than 1%.
